As an Art Director you will become the most vital segment of a creative studio anywhere in the world. Together with a copywriter, you both create and execute the work seen across all media.
It’s the very engine room of the business. Therefore any artistic talent you have can be quickly moulded into the various requirements of this occupation.
You will assemble print ads. You will create storyboards and direct TV commercials. You’ll fly off
to the Seychelles with photographers, stylists and hundreds of gorgeous models on fashion shoots. You’ll also spend hours in sound studios, repro houses and print shops controlling all levels of the work.
It’s a demanding and stressful environment but the rewards are great especially when they present you with an International CLEO / GOLD award at /or Cannes. Salaries in this area can reach into half a million rand a year. |
